I'm not in any position to judge the accuracy of this poster, and there may not be anyone who is.
I do notice that there is no mention of the nearly 50 trillion in unfunded liabilities in the Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid programs. Of course nobody wants to talk about that because it's just too depressing.
Our representatives (overlords) in Washington have built up this monstrous web of unconstitutional programs nearly always with the excuse along the lines that "it's for the children" But what most of us are unaware of is that every one of our kids is now born with a half a million dollar mortgage hanging over their heads thanks to our benefactors.
In all honesty though, the blame can't be laid at the feet of politicians, they are just doing what comes naturally to most pols. I.e. buying votes with other people's money. The real fault lies with an ignorant and indifferent public that has essentially demanded the services of a nanny state and haven't seen or cared that the nanny state can only provide those services if it has totalitarian power. Even if that power is somehow checked from being abused to oppress in an overt way, it becomes a "soft tyranny" as De Tocqueville explained which slowly and remorselessly squelches the human spirit and makes sheep of men through dependency.
I don't know what can be done, but it must stop.
